We LOVE our IMHS Volunteers Appreciation Party!

If you are a volunteer, or helped IMHS as a member or donor in the last year, or have serious interest in getting involved with IMHS…..you’re invited…..please come to have dinner & celebrate with us!

Our first annual Volunteer Appreciation Party will be held:

IMHS has been around the community since 1982 (that’s 35 years!) and operates daily without any government funding. Except for a slim number of paid staff (who also help while “off the clock”), we rely on volunteers and contributions from the community. In 2016 alone, IMHS adopted out almost 600 dogs and cats. Our biggest upcoming goal is to continue to fund our Capital Campaign to be able to purchase our own shelter property, allowing us to provide for the care of even more animals.

IMHS has so many needs and we look to our volunteers and the local community to help fulfill these needs. Here is a snapshot of ways that our volunteers help by donating/working/providing/….care to dogs & cats at the shelter, dog walking, fostering animals, thrift store, medical care, adoption events, photography, IMHS Members, fundraising, supplies from our wish list, pet food, shopping at Amazon Smiles, Board of Directors, special events, animal transportation, donating money (or a vehicle!), and the list goes on and on…..and we can always use more & more help!

We could not do this all without everyone’s help – the outpouring of love and generosity from the community has repeatedly been astonishing! And that’s the reason why we want to gather everyone together for a time to celebrate our accomplishments and look toward the future.
